Is there a disney resort which has really great bus service?
we stayed at all stars and the queues were just stupid and the buses were always late

Wilderness lodge was great compared to All Stars. Nice and close to lobby, not often busy and plenty of buses. Sometimes a bit frustrating if it decided to go to camp wilderness

I think that all the buses can both run smoothly and well, not so smoothly. I have been to the All Stars plenty of times, and sometimes the buses were quickly one after another, then at times I remember waiting for a long time for a bus to DTD.
I have also stayed at the Dolphin. I think that's where I encountered the worst service (at the time). I think my normal waiting time was longer than 25min, with one bus taking about 45min. But then again, I could walk to both Epcot and DHS, so I only used the bus occasionally.
I use to hear horrible stories about the buses at the WL, but a few years ago I stayed there and to me the buses ran quickly and often. I don't remember waiting long for any certain bus.
That all being said, I think it really depends.

I've had the same experience as Foreverducky. There have been times when it hasn't been so good. But that's the minority. The vast majority of the time we've never had any issues with the busses. Regardless of the resort we've stayed in.

I have to agree with other comments here for the most part. However, I will say that the absolute WORST bus service we have ever gotten was at the Grand Floridian.

It's so so hard to say :/ as everyone else mentioned, the service is just so variable no matter where you're staying.
I guess a few scooter pickups and the schedules off by quite a bit anyway!
Having said that, we've always found downtown disney buses to be the worst. We've waited over an hour for one from time to time at various places. It feels like when they run behind they just skip a resort to try and get back on time or something :/ I can't think of any other good reason for why they'd be the worst consistently.
We always feel that there are more frequent services to the value resorts BUT at peak times, they fill up so you can be waiting in a queue of 4/5 buses long to get back from a park!
Animal Kingdom lodge used to be good. Always on its own, never shared with another resort until the new villa section opened and now it's a right pain when you're tired and it goes past the lodge to go to the villas or vice versa.
Possibly the worst service given the very expensive deluxe hotels is the yc/bc/boardwalk/swan/dolphin service :( At times there can be a large queue and they cram people on so tightly that it's hot and really icky. Awful considering how much people pay to stay there.
The other thing to consider is what resorts the bus is shared with and how many stops there are. We took well over an hour to get from port orleans french quarter to get to downtown disney once. It went all round each resort and all the stops at port orleans riverside and so on. Given how close that resort is to DTD, the time taken was crazy.
This is why we really like the resorts with alternative modes of transport. Monorail, boat to DTD, boat to magic kingdom and so on.

We stayed at the port Orleans French Quarter and had no problem at all with the buses! They come frequently at the hotel and at the Parks. Also, the French Quarter picks up before the Riverside, so you can usually get a seat.

I found buses were good at Pop Century and Coronado Spring Resort. (However with the CSR - you need to learn the system - it easy!)
Busses. Whew. It really doesn't matter where you are staying. The busses fill up, the waits can be long... it's really no better at the deluxe resorts, and often worse!
Plain to wait and if you don't it's a gift!

I also stayed at the CSR and enjoyed really good bus service.
But then again, it can depend on time of day and time of visit in the year.
