Is it possible to walk from one park to another? We will have a car to get there but not sure where 'there' is. Is it one huge car park with entries on each side for the different parks?

Sorry for what may be silly questions but we are just beginning to research our trip and know very little.

No - the parks are all pretty far from each other ( and there are no paths apart from between Disney Studios and Epcot and that is a fair walk via a disney resort hotel and it takes you to the back entrance of Epcot)) and they all have their own car parks, the car parks themselves are so big that unless you are there very early and park near the front, offer trams to get to the park entrance. :)

If you do choose to drive to a different park I'm sure your parking ticket is valid on the same day in each park.

I believe parking is around $14.00 a day or thereabouts

Sandra is right in saying that your parking ticket is valid in every park you visit on each day. However, if you are staying on site they will give you a leaflet to place on your dashboard. It will have your departure date on it and allows you free parking. Additionally there is Disney Transportation available from your onsite resort.

yep we drove ourselves to all the parks and we went to 2 different parks [animal kingdom and magic kingdom] on the same day the parking ticket we got was valid all day in all disney parks. dh said its very easy to drive to the parks. the car parks are huge so you must remember where you park [like pluto row 3] it was something like that! then you can get on a tram to take you to the entrance.

Disney provides transport between parks, remember. You can take a monorail between MK and Epcot. You can actually walk between Epcot and the Studios, or take a boat. There are buses for AK.

Driving yourself is fine, for all but MK. If you take a resort bus to MK, you will be brought right to the entry of MK. If you drive you'll need to take a tram to the TTC area, then a monorail or ferry to MK. It adds time, so plan for that if you are driving and want to be at MK for the pre-opening show.

Disney transportation for us is one the perks of staying on-site. We never have to worry about driving on unfamilar streets at night when we're exhausted or might have had a drink with dinner!
