I think I know the answer to this but just checking with all of you knowledgeable folks! Struggling to find the definitive answer on Virgin's site. Am I right in thinking that the free DDP doesn't apply at the Swan & Dolphin?

There is a site Best Deals and Discounts on the Best Local Restaurants – Save Money on Food with Restaurant.com (http://www.restaurant.com) that has a couple of restaurants at the Swan/Dolphin ie; Shula's and Kimonos plus House of Blues is on there. I use restaurant.com a lot. You can typically get a $25 gift certificate for less than $5.

Thanks Johnie...I was asking more because I was after getting the free dining plan if I booked, and would have preferred to stay there as it was near the boardwalk....the other esorts in the boardwalk area knock the price right up. Not that we might be considering a trip or anything  :D

deb if the 2 of you are just going i think you will love it there the nightlife at the boardwalk is great i wouldnt pay extra for an illuminations view we did and its not worth it you only catch the top of the firworks at epcot you see just as much from nthe bridge which everyone else stands and watches from. we found it magical but a litle less disney than the disney owned property you will miss being able to charge to room card but you can ship purchases back to the hotel :) hope that helps a bit :)

Ann, we really really wanted to go stay at the Boardwalk area next time we went, preferably the Y&B Club. We love the evenings there and the access to Epcot. However, that is quite a bit more pricey, and we are on a budget, so we'd be more than happy with the S&D...but during those dates we want to go the free dining offer is in place. So when we add the extra onto the S&D for the dining, well it bumps the price up a lot in comparison to some other resorts.
