we're planning a trip there although we'll be staying on disney

does anyone know if there is a bus or some transport we can get there or would we have to hire a car?

Would also like to know if its a full day park or just half a day so we can plan?

Will we be able to see a launch?

if you are flying with virgin they do a trip to KSC which includes transport  I would say its a full day there. The launch would depend on whether or not one is planned or not for the day you visit, i dont think they are regular.
There are different experiences you can choose to do aswell

if you go to the welcome meeting you can book it there! My family went and they really enjoyed it there, found it to be interesting - although they wouldnt do it again cus they feel theyve done it now if you know what i mean, they said its definately worth doing though. I noticed your other thread about dining with the astronaut, they didnt do this option but they said its "just" an astronaut, nobody that you would have heard of - dont know if this will influence your decision or not!

I could have spent a week there but then I am a science ficition and space fan!

I think a half day does not do it justice.

We did the dine with an astronaut and I liked it but I thought it took up a big chunk of the day I'd rather have spent wandering around the exhibits. You can do the Astronaut Encounter and see them too, without the time it takes for lunch.

I want to go back some day!

Well worth the trip, really excellent - top tip - when you get in head straight for the busses and start the tour around the complex, the queues get very heavy later on.

We took a taxi but it was really quite pricey
