Disney fireworks cruises, worth the money?

Ive seen some fireworks cruises listed on the disneyworld web site and Im tempted to book one for the youngest's birthday. Thing is, it would be that or a meal somewhere we couldnt really do both so I dont want to do it if its expensive and a disappointment?

Has anyone done one of these and if so, whats best the wishes one or the illuminations one?

How far out do we need to book it? thanks :)

We have only done the Pirates and Pals Wishes fireworks cruise, it was fantastic, one of the highlights of our last trip, hope to be able to do it again this year, the view of the fireworks is amazing!
