best headphones for the plane journey?

Do any of you take your own headphones and if you do, which ones do you use?

I was thinking about noise cancelling ones but they would need to fit the on board sockets and also the ipad

We've got Bose noise canceling and they are excellent and they fit into the sockets on the plane. I think they would fit the ipad as they fit my old ipod.

I too use the Bose headphones on Ipad and very glad i got them too.
