I've often wondered what the pot roast was....is it meat on top of mash?

Yes, the meat is on top of the mashed potatoes with veggies and gravy. It is SSSOOOO delicious.
I had never eaten at the Liberty Tree. I would definitely go back. Homestyle American comfort food. My fave.
My brother had the "thanksgiving" dinner which was sliced turkey, potatoes & gravy, stuffing, and green beans. It was also really good (but we both preferred the pot roast). We each ate 1/2 of our meals and then switched plates.
We got the fried cheese appetizer. The mozzarella sticks were so-so but the cheddar balls were outstanding. I would request all cheddar balls, no mozza sticks!

Dinner is family style but lunch has a different menu HERE (http://www.wdisneysecrets.com/index.php/walt-disney-world/163-magic-kingdom/802-magic-kingdom-dining.html)

That explains it, I normally go there for dinner during extra magic hours. Perhaps I'll have to try lunch

Keith,
I think Gwennie's post (based on the time stamp) references the lunch menu where you can order à la carte. Menu is here (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/media/wdw_nextgen/CoreCatalog/WaltDisneyWorld/en_us/Media/InternetMediaType/Dining/LibertTreeTavern/liberty-tree-tavern-menu-lunch.pdf).
Dinner is still family style all you can eat type of affair. Dinner menu here (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/media/wdw_nextgen/CoreCatalog/WaltDisneyWorld/en_us/Media/InternetMediaType/Dining/LibertTreeTavern/liberty-tree-tavern-menu-dinner.pdf).

I find it a bit odd that LTT would serve the pot roast with mash. Traditionally the American Pot Roast is a beef chuck cooked in broth with carrots, potatoes and onions. When it is done you take it out of the pot and slice it into pieces.

My brother was only disappointed they did not have beer. HAH! To be honest, at that point I could've gone for a Sam Adams...
