I just got a 3ds and at the same time a 3dtv and both are a bit of a disappointment because they give me a headache :( I was wondering if I'm the only one?

Yes! Those 3D glasses are awful. My eyes don't seem to focus properly and I end up with a rotten headache

I get really bad headaches watching 3d :(

I get blurred or double vision most of the time so I try to avoid 3d as much as possible.

While I can sit through most 3D movies without a problem I don't think I would want to wear the glasses for hours while watching TV.

I only watch 3d shows at amusement parks. I'm not a big fan of 3d.

I've watched a few of the new ones and not enjoyed it much. When carefully done the effect is very nice and subtle but I'm yet to really feel it added anything to a movie. The downside is the pressure/headache feeling after having watched them for a while :/ The last few I've watched in 2d and have enjoyed the much more.

However I've noticed a certain filming technique designed to optimise the 3d which has no benefit in 2d other than to make me think grrrrrr. The other thing is cinemas have been leaving the 3d lenses on their sony projectors meaning the 2d versions have been shown very darkly.

We saw pirates 4 in 3d and I thought it was the cinema but the left hand side of the screen always seemed blurry . There was something not quite right with the picture and I couldn't put my finger on it.
It did give me a bit of a headache as well - glad I'm not the only one!!
