View Full Version : Belfast Airport introduce smoking charge
Fly from Belfast and it's £1 to have that last puff.
BBC News - Last cigarette... airport charges smokers for that last minute drag (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-13259626)
Not sure that it is the way to go but Belfast Airport has always struck me as one of the worst to make your way through when it comes to smoking. Smokers stand outside the doors in their droves and the areas outside are covered in cigarette ends and ash. It is the worst airport I have ever seen for this, so I can understand where they are coming from. I passed through the airport only last Thursday. At least the doorways will be clear from now on, but a charge being made? - Im not sure.

When I smoked I probably would have paid it. Moaned about it mind you, but still paid it. And I suspect many will do the same.
