If you are driving, is it better to take the buses or your car to the parks?

what do do you think? is it better to take the bus or the car to the parks? Is parking free if we're staying on site?

I like taking disney transportation. It's one less thing that I have to think or worry about. While I have driven to disney, I dropped off my car at the hotel and didn't see it again until I was ready to leave. Why waste the gas?

Parking is free if you are staying on site.

We found that we used the car a lot more than the buses, especially with a young child. Never know when you need to exit the park RIGHT NOW and having a car meant not hanging around for a bus.

But we always took the bus to Epcot because they have tequila there!:wiggle:

We stay onsite and have a car and always drive to the parks - I prefer getting in a car at the end of the day and not queuing for buses, especially as we usually leave at closing when it's very busy. This year though we are staying at The Boardwalk for some of the time so we will be able to walk to Epcot and boat to DHS.

We drive to WDW, park the car and forget it for a week. We only use the Disney busses for transportation. It's never been a problem for us.

We'll take the car to AK or the water parks but for everything else we take Disney transport.

We hire a car and use it every day for the convenience of arriving and leaving at exactly the time we want to without having to wait for transport. We don't just go to the Disney parks, and we travel around Florida a fair bit too.

With us it depends a lot on what our dinner plans are. If we have time we'll take the bus, if not we take our car.

We park the car at arrival and forget it. When we used to fly in, we'd rent a car to drive from the airport to Disney, then it would sit for the duration of the holiday. What a waste of money!

We actually like Disney transport. It's fun, the drivers are often funny, and it's a great "people watching" mechanism!

Bus, ferry, monorail... we use them all and love it!

During the day we drive but get the bus when we want an alcoholic drink!
