ORLANDO, Fla. — Universal Orlando's year-old "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey" ride experienced its first significant guest injuries during the first quarter of 2011, according to new state records.
Two people were injured after riding the attraction — a 60-year-man who suffered a brief loss of consciousness, and a 57-year-old man who suffered chest pains — between Jan. 1 and March 31, according to Universal's report to state regulators. They were the only guest injuries the resort reported for the period.
To avoid state ride-safety regulation, the major theme parks submit voluntary injury reports to state officials each quarter.
