What do you do in line?

We have two little ones ( 4 and 2) and one adult who might as well be classified as a little one :tongue: What do you do in line to keep everyone happy and melt down free? Our kids are used to small parks where the wait time is maybe 5 minutes and then on the ride. I have to say I'm a little worried :unsure:

There is lots to see while in line so you always have that stuff to talk about. You could play I Spy or look for Hidden Mickeys. You could do age appropriate trivia.

My kids bring their handheld video games and ipods with them on vacation. I usually play on my phone while waiting.

I know this is what Dh will be doing in line..but I know he won't share his toy :lol:

We love to people watch. We decide what a certain person does for a living, what nationality they are etc. We also play Scrabble.

Not much use for your children though Shelly :unsure:

I think lines stink for every age group. I once stood in line for Peter Pan's ride for 40 minutes. I thought I was going to go postal. It was the middle of July and I felt like cattle. Not to mention I had two small-ish children in front of me that kept using those wind/water sprayers. I kept getting sprayed. While I would have loved a nice cool spray with water, I didn't want back splash from their face and body.

I like to people watch and talk with others sometime. Sometimes I look back over my pictures and delete those that are not what I want. To be honest, I'm not one of those people that take outside devices into the parks. I like being without modern electronics while visitng wdw. I tend to leave my phone in the room and I would never drown out the best disney noises with music from my ipod. Just my opinion. :yes:

Sometimes I look back over my pictures and delete those that are not what I want.

We also spend time in line deleting 'bad' photos.....and smiling/laughing at the others.

These are all ideas that have worked for us in the past. I think this is the one time I am going to miss being at WDW with just the two of us.. :lol:

The good thing about the line areas of disney is that they are filled with things to see. Maybe you could point out all there is too see. Also, you can talk about what you guys are going to do next. :yes:
