Just been for a few bits and pieces at Asda and thought I'd call in at the cemetary on the way home with some flowers for Mam before we go away.

I get there to find the vase has been smashed. Luckily I keep a spare in the boot of the car so I go back to the car which is about a 30 second walk away. Get back to mam's grave and the flowers have been pinched! I didn't see anyone the whole time I was there.

:furious:

:( thats terrible Diane, whats the matter with some people :sigh:

When i was little we went to visit my dads grave, when we got there mum said that the pots had been pinched - they were even engraved with a message. We walked all around the cemetary and found them and put them back with dad. I think its dreadful what some people will do

:hug2: I'm so sorry Diane, I can't understand the mentality of people like that.

There have been problems where Sarah is too. Her solar lantern crook was taken, and 4 other people nearby had their solar lanterns stolen.

Such an appalling thing to do....

There is just flat out NO Excuse for that sort of behavior ANYWHERE, let alone a cemetery.

Actually you are doing those cretins a favour by calling them "people" Tom.

The thing is, the car is in sight of the grave so they must have taken them so quickly while I was on the way for the vase and before I turned around to go back.

Going out to buy a replacement vase this morning as the one I left is a glass free standing. The one I need to replace is fixed into the ground so less likely to be stolen or moved if nudged by lawn mowers etc.
It's Mam's birthday while we are on holiday and I've arranged for someone to take some fresh flowers over for me on the day.
