We went in Jan and TBH, it was amazing! It is really well done. There were huge lines to make a wand but you can get a wand at lots of places other than the wand shop. The other rides in the park had very short queues which was nice.

FYI, you don`t have to pay extra to visit the Harry Potter section of IOA.

The theming is fantastic, as is the new ride.
My boys love the frozen butterbear and there's a wand shop where you can buy lots of HP merchadise.
It's well worth a visit

Is there enough to do in that part itself to justify the fee though? Because I'm not an IOA ride type person so genuinely the ticket would be entirely for the Harry Potter bit

IMO, if you are not a HP fan then no.

I'm an HP fan for sure but yah know, I dont do thrill rides, so I'm wondering how long I'd really spend there

Keith,
Have you ever been to IOA? They have several water rides plus the stuff in Seuss Land and Spiderman aren't what I would consider thrill rides.

In all honesty Keith, the HP section is not that big really.
You would probably enjoy seeing the theming and atmosphere of the place though.
