View Full Version : quick service near HS

Looking for a place to eat near HS, I never like the choices at Hollywood. My mind is blank for the resorts that are nearby. Any suggestions?( we have the dining plan and are paying OOP for breakfast at 1900 Parkfare, we have a 2 credit dinner planned so I would rather just use quick service for dinner that night)

You mean leave the park?

There is the boardwalk, quite close to DHS. (You can take the boat, walk or drive). At the boardwalk there is ESPN with that sort of food. Not counter service, but not necessarily "deluxe" table service. It always seems so loud there.

Big River Grill (and brewery...). Again, table service but not elaborate.

There is Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club. You simply show up and wait for a table.

The Swan and Dolphin have several options, too.

Oh, there is the bakery, and Flying Fish on the boardwalk too.

Otherwise, you can head to DTD which is nearby, but further away from DHS than the boardwalk. You'll need to drive. You have several options there, from the Earl of Sandwich through full table service places. Just avoid Captain Jacks. Ick. :sorry:

If you want a food court, there is Pop Century and Saratoga Springs Resort...

Does that help at all?

I quite like the ESPN place at the boardwalk! Especially if you're after quick service type fries, nachos, burgers etc. The boat over is a nice way to cool down, too!

The Boardwalk Bakery takes the DDP and you can get a nice lunch there

Thanks guys, may have to try the Broadway Bakery. Does ESPN take DDP?

ESPN would be a ts credit. Boardwalk Bakery is a qs credit.

Beaches and Cream is really good but they take a ts credit. IMO it would be more prudent to pay oop.

Starring Rolls at DHS can be used for a qs credit. They have a couple of sandwich offerings plus I hear they now offer sushi.

We tend to eat at a ts place in DHS. However, the couple of times we have used the qs ddp, we have gotten hamburgers, chicken nuggets and the like over near TOT.

Johnie doesn't ESPN have a grille that is QS?

I highly recommend the Boardwalk Bakery. A great value for your quick service option for the day.

ESPN is only listed on the brochure as a TS restaurant. I, personally, have never been to ESPN.
