I have always known that I had 3 half-sisters. One of them, Ginny, I grew up very close to. The other two, Gerry and Madie I never met and did not think I would ever meet either of them. Some time back I was on ancestry.com looking for some relatives and trying to possibly find Ginny, with whom I had lost contact over the years. This morning I had an email from Gerry. She told me that Ginny was still living in Missouri but that Madie had passed in 2005. To say I was shocked is putting it mildly. I think she lives in FL, but she didn't really say. If so, I'm hoping, maybe, to finally meet her in November.

That`s wonderful John, although I am naturally sorry to hear about Madie. :rose:

I`m in a similar situation myself in that I also have two half -brothers...and maybe more!
I`ve never met any of them and all that my Mum told me was that the two that she knew of were named Gary and Barry.
With those two names and mine, we could have been called the Bee Gees.

That's great usc!

Ancestry.com is awesome!! We were able to go back and find one of my wife's 11th great grandfathers who came over to this country back in 1670.

Wow John, that is amazing! I hope that meet works out. Sorry to hear about Madie though :(

I had a similar situation - I met my half brother and sister for the first time just a few years back. It is a really odd feeling. In a good way

We made contact through FB last night. She actually is living in Massachusetts and has been for 44 years. So I won't get to see her in FL. However, she is high on my list of to do's the next time I'm in Mass. Might have to plan a special trip.
