I am a member of a football supporters site that is using the same server as we seem to be using on this site.

I know from discussion with people there that it is far from a cheap affair and as such they are now charging a subscription - all be it nominal to help with the maintennance of the board.

As there dont appear to be any adverts on here I assume all this money is coming from your own back pocket.

Is there any way that we can donate to help what is essentially a self help group for all us Disney nutters.

PLEASE don't dismiss this out of hand - promise you will think about it - I am sure there are many of us that would be only too keen to help in any way no matter how small.

First of all, what are you doing on football supporters site, you should be here whenever you have any spare time

I totally agree with you though Chris  anyway I can help Keith I will. We came to "air" way sooner than was anticipated, so it's a case of adding things as we go along and I'm sure some advertisers will be along soon.

Keith is just a genuine nice person, what you see is what you get, he doesn't pretend to be somone he's not and I think because of that he will make Secrets a huge success :D

Hi Chris and everyone :)

Thanks very much indeed for asking, it's very much appreciated. You're truly a great bunch of people for even thinking of it.

You're right, these things are expensive to setup and run, but I promise you that I fully knew the costs before we started and planned accordingly.

I've already had a few advertisers email me and ask if they can advertise but I don't want the adverts to be annoyingly all over the place. So we have a few advertisers we'll add soon. To be honest I'm really pleased with that because we weren't going to ask anyone before the main website was up but we've had so much interest already :) Just being open and honest, if it helps some way towards the costs and provide a few prizes for competitions :D I'd be happy.

I've got maple leaf tickets for disney tickets, I've got amazon and simply by clicking on the disney secrets amazon link when buying anything from there, you get the usual amazon price/service and we get a few pence towards the site. I'll get those links up somewhere soon since it's a no hassle, win-win way to help.

Perhaps in time we'll do a secret passholder or premium member type idea for a few quid a year but we're not there yet :D

So thanks very much for thinking of me, but all I want is for everyone to keep on having a great time and enjoying the site!

I'm not surprised that you have so much interest in the site by advertizers! This site has taken the 'net by storm. It was put up fast, and even though it's not where you want it to be content wise, it's still so fast growing that advertizers are seeing it's real potential.

That's what happens when you have someone put up a site for the right reasons, eh? It takes a person who is truly concerned about all members of the community to run a site that will be a place that advertizers want to be associated with for the long run.

I do like the idea of members being able to contribute if they can though. We'll have to work on that one, eh?
