It was open when we were there between June 10-17. I have not heard anything about it closing.

Thank you!! Katelyn has always said she wanted her Poppie to take her on the Dumbo ride and I was really hoping that could happen.

Yep, the only area missing at the MK while the new Fantasyland is being created is the area that was contained in Toon Town.
All of the main rides are still open unless refurbs. are taking place since we were there last week.

Very good
Since you were there last week, how bad does it really look?
Awww, how sweet is that? I remember taking the boy on Dumbo for the first time... "HE'S FLYING!!!! HE'S FLYING!!!" was Seth's immediate response to the start up sequence. One of the forever memories in my heart.
There is something so special about Dumbo. Has she seen the film, Shelly? Seth had watched it about, oh... seventy billionty times before going on the ride! LOL.

It doesn`t really look that bad at all.
There are obviously wooden screens surrounding the new extention, however you can get a peek at some of the additions like Sleeping Beauty`s Castle which are tall enough to see over the screens.
I took a few photos of the new area which I will post shortly....watch this space!

We tried to get a better glimpse of what was going on by taking the train that goes around the MK. It used to make a stop in the Toon Town area, however this station is now not there and the area is surrounded by the construction boards.
You do get a reasonable view from the TTA ride though.
