*sigh* (have we got a smiley for that?)

I've just made a card for my Uncles birthday on Friday, and I need to make a thank you card to give to my cousin that we're staying with when we go to Ireland.

I've been trying for the last couple of weeks to think of what to make but I just can't 'see' it in my head yet.....do you know what I mean.

I only have a couple of days left really to get it done - I think I may pop over to the craft shop tomorrow to see what I can pick up there.

I am no help....my idea of the perfect card is to go into the local Hallmark store and spend hours reading every single one.

For the Irish thank you card have you looked at some of the older Irish verses?

How about "Thank you" in the Irish? 'Course you could always do a card with the faerie people. :D

I'm impressed by anyone who can make cards. It's a nice talent to have.

my sister took me to a little one at Bolney nr Horsham a few weeks back - i could've gone mad in there but i contained myself! I'm not into card making big time - I just do personal ones rather than sell them, it's fun!

the lady that owns it wasn't there but apparently she does a spot on create and craft

what's a mini book Britchick?

i will upload some photos of a couple of them that i have done after the weekend. I make them out of cardstock and you can hold them to gether with rings or glue them and you stick photos and put some journalling and embellishments in. I don't find them as daunting as whole pages.

here is a page with some ideas and instructions

thank you! that looks like fun - i will most definitely try it, when we get home i could make one for her with pics of our trip and send it to her - she'd like that actually.

my sister has made cards that are like books - this is a smaller version i guess, she's very clever and artistic so when she admires something I've done i feel quite proud!

awww thank you both very much - they loved the card which made me very happy!

hubby said the other day it costs me a fortune to make the cards, but i just take way too long to make them to be able to make it a business and i don't feel confident that they're up to that standard.
