Paris hotels?

Martin has asked me to do some research on a trip to Paris for a couple of nights on Eurostar for Sharon's birthday.

I know nothing about Paris apart from travelling through on a coach coming back from Disneyland Paris many years ago, so i'm wondering whether anyone knows of or canrecommend any central-ish hotels?

Do you have The Metro where you are Mairead? They usually have some deals in there on Paris?
