do disney allow this? so I could book a cheap room then if I had spare funds on the day, upgrade it at checkin to a better room?

I can`t see that this would be a problem assuming "better" rooms are available.
Having said that, put on your best British accent at check in and you may manage to blag a free upgrade...it has worked for me on a few occasions!

Well I can`t honestly say for sure Josh, although I`ve found that many folks in the US love to hear the British accent [even though I always tell them that I speak English and it is really them who have an accent :p015:], and I have managed to get a room upgrade on a few occasions at the GF so who knows, maybe there is something in it.

Well my Scottish accent worked at the Contemporary when we got our free upgrade to a Tower room a few weeks ago :yes:
