So as I write this I am at the check in counter at POP CENTURY. We left NYC 1 am yesterday and arrived at 7 pm last night. We stopped at Cracker Barrel for breakfast and lunch in Micky D's.We didn't hit traffic or bad weather until we hit Florida and then we hit a monsoon. Sheets of rain and thunder and lightning every few seconds. We passed 3 separate accidents, it poured all the way from jacksonville to Orlandoy. We did not have a reservation so I pricelined and wound up at Embassy Suites in DTD area for 75$ including fees, not a bad deal considering it included breakfast. After we checked in I hit bar for a drink and then hit bed for an early nights sleep.

Just finished checking in and we are at the 60's building on the first floor. The sun is out we are heading to MK in a few with dinner at Tony's Town Square.

Sounds like you have hit the ground running so to speak. Sounds like you had a good drive down. Have fun.

Wow, you drove straight through? I can't even stand driving straight through from here and it's only 13 hours.

Have a fun trip!

I would definitely drive straight through too. I even dislike stopping for gas. Of course, it would be nice for the car to drive it self. (Really, when is auto pilot going to be standard for cars?!)

Have fun!

Oh gosh. Yesterday was terrible driving on I4! I drove all the way home in it too. Ugh.

So good to know you made it safely. You sure did get a good deal on price line! Brave man coming in with no reservation for the first night! (Is Anthony Bourdain your "hero")? ;)

Hope the weather is better for you during your stay. Take care now and have a FABULOUS time!
