10 minutes maybe? I've not timed it. It drops you off near Capt Jack's restaurant.

I think it's 20 mins from POFQ. It's a lovely relaxing journey. :)

There is a boat in each direction every half hour so from POR it is probably closer to 25 minutes and as MP says from POFQ about 20. There is another boat at DTD that will take you from where this one drops you off over to the West Side.

Guess that is about right..BTW...that would be my dream Disney job...I want to pilot the boat there! Got to talking to the CMs last trip and those guys were cool. Think they could use a fourth for a round of golf....too bad just started back at the museum:tongue:

True that! It is a really nice ride..you will get to see some golfer NOT relaxing...pretty tough hole over the river! They always act startled when the boat goes by and feel pretty uncomfortable hitting when the boats are there.

You bet!

My DW and I drive down to POR and every time we go, as soon as we check, we go hop on the boat down to DTD. After 7 1/2 or 8 hours in the car, it's just so nice to get on the boat, sit back, relax, and feel the warm breeze as we travel casually down the Sassagoula River to DTD!

Tom (:macwave:... relaxed!)

We found Olivia's in OKW to be a cool place to hang out and relax. You can take the boat to DTD then another short boat ride to OKW and have a look about.

On a recent stay at OKW (August) we really enjoyed our meals (two) at Olivia's. It's a simple little place, but what they have on their menu is well prepared.

Yes, it is about 20 - 25 minutes from POR (depending on how long they take picking up at POFQ on the way), and yes, it is a lot nicer than getting the bus! It's exciting for the girls too, and there are lots of nice big water birds along the way to point out to them. It's a pretty stretch of river, and coming into the dock at DTD and seeing all of the buildings ahead is pretty cool! :)

The only negative we found was probably just because of the time of year - we used the boat in January, and coming back at night it was literally freezing cold! You could really feel the breeze on the water! But as you are looking to go at easter then you probably won't have that problem.
