Just some photos ive taken on the cats and one of my guinea pigs - im loving the macro and portrait settings on this camera!!! The guinea pig one is a little blurry as i didnt have the camera very steady (i was tickling his chin so he'd lift his head then had to take the photo as soon as i took my finger away!) They arent perfect or up to the standards of some of the other photos on here, but im pretty happy with them!

Thank you! Theres loads of settings on there, i also like the monochrome one which makes the photo look quite old fashioned with a brown tinge.
Lisa, i got a panasonic lumix fz45, its not a dslr but im really enjoying using it! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-Lumix-14-1MP-Digital-Camera/dp/B003WOKU4W/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1311686334&sr=1-4

I think they're great! all so often you see blurry, out of focus shots but those are spot on, sharp, colourful, not noisy in any way. Brill!

Ooooooh Keith - thank you!!! Thats made me really happy!! I used the macro flower setting to use these, it brings up a grid on the screen so i suppose the part thats in the centre of the grid is a sharper than the rest of it.
I am pleased with what ive taken so far, i keep looking through a few of them and cant quite believe i have the camera thats taken them!

Wendy, no photos to post today im afraid - was hoping to get out and about and take some nice ones, which we did, but there wasnt a flower or anything pretty in site, just bare branches!
Yesterday morning it was very frosty, got down on my knees in the cold garden to get those shots so im glad you like them!

Todays photo is taken using the "pinhole" setting. Cant make my mind up on this setting, sometimes i think i quite like it other times i dont think i do!

Very serene.
I think with most 'different' settings you'll feel that way. I think that's because they are not suited for all pictures, all the time.

Its quite a dreamy setting i think - makes the edges kind of hazy if that makes sense?

Almost a nostalgic/antique effect

I like the soft focus effect  You have lots of settings to play with Kate and eventually you will know what you like and don't like. You are doing really well Kate :hug2: Keep going :)

The ice/dew on the grass is amazing and the kitty is so dear.
