When I paid out of pocket tax and gratuity were all paid up front, if I use DDP credits is gratuity included?
I believe it is NOT. I think that was one of the changes that most found problematic. I think they've taken that off and you need to pay gratuity?
Double check with someone who know the plan better than I though...

Currently (subject to change next, of course) it is, but this is DEFINITELY the exception to the "rule".
See below (from the DDP leaflet):
The Disney Dining Plan can be used for Character Dining experiences. One (1) meal for each person participating in the Character
Dining experience will be redeemed from your meal plan balance, unless otherwise noted. Gratuities are not included.
Please Note: Two ❷ meals for each person dining at Cinderella’s Royal Table will be redeemed from their meal plan balance. Gratuities are included. Advance reservations are strongly recommended. Merchandise or photo imaging products that may be offered at Character Dining experi- ences are not included, except at Cinderella’s Royal Table and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. The Disney Deluxe Dining Plan is unavailable for Guests under the age of 3, but they may share from an adult plate at no charge, or a meal may be purchased from the menu. The price of the meal will be added to your bill. Guests ages 3-9 must order from a children’s menu where available.

Meant to say...you'll also notice that at CRT the commemorative photo is also included (at least this year).
when using the dining plan, we have always left the gratuity as an extra... humm.. wish I had read this a few years back

thank you!
Wowee, how confusing can one plan get? Gratuities not included, but are included in some places? Sheesh...

My friends who work in Full Service at the parks used to tear their hair out at the DDP... guests just didn't understand it and it had been reported over and over again but Disney don't seem too bothered about clarifying the plan. It creates so many problems for Cast Members AND guests!!

Gratuity IS included at CRT with the DDP.
We went for dinner at 8:40pm last Mon. It was absolutely FANTASTIC. The food was ok. We had such an awesome view of Wishes from our table and then there were princesses! We were like two five year old girls.
sounds PERFECT Johnie!! :)
