I would pick the POLYNESIAN
I think If pick Grand Floridian ... I think they have the best gingerbread house around  (from pics)
My second choice would be Wilderness Lodge... it seems more Xmassy??

Grand Floridian, I love it at Christmas, it's magical. There is the Gingerbread House and the when we've been there in the evening there have been people singing Christmas carols and the tree is beautiful.
It is more "adult" possibly sophisticated, there aren't lots of children running round, which is a plus for me :sorry:
I wouldn't stay anywhere else if I was going for Christmas, I guess it's the romantic side of me imagining being at a Victorian Christmas

Hmmm, can't really go wrong with any of them. I am a big nostalga fan and when we stayed at Boardwalk all dressed up for the holidays it was awesome. It had a very 1940's feel. GF is fantastic too, though we just visited the resort and spent time in the lobby and had dinner there. The Poly was beautiful too. It would be nice to be on the monorail wouldn't it. I guess the better question for me is which deluxe would be my least favorite and that would be the Contemp. I did mention that I an a nostaga fan.

we may be looking to rent DVC points in the boardwalk for the rest of the nights...can't quite decide lol and that's if i can get them
i'm liking the idea of the GF, the carol singers have won it over, what's it like to get back to after fireworks etc?

Well I love it - I know some people don't like it though, so I often wonder if I am just easily pleased!! The CM's we encountered were all lovely and compared to AKL it felt a lot more upscale, whereas I feel AKL is kind of warm and comforting. I think you would be better off requesting a room closer to the front (entrance wise not bw side) as it can be a lengthy walk. We had a BW view and were up the Atlantic Dance Hall end of the bw and from self parking to our room was probably a good 10 minute walk.
Self parking can be a bit of an issue especially in the evening as so many people visit that area from elsewhere, that said it is so central to most parks esp Epcot and DHS that you don't use the car as much anyway.
The Christmas decs that I have seen at the BW look stunning!
We loved it and will definitely stay there again next time!

It's the thought of being able to walk back from Epcot in the evening that really appeals tbh. I didn't realise how easy it was until our last trip when we walked from yacht club after dinner to watch illuminations. Animal kingdom nd wilderness lodge are a lot more me though
The Beach Club for us for the deluxe.
We'd stay right at the BC for the villas too.
We're ones who are absolutely not fans of the BWV/I. :sorry:

can you tell me why Tink?
Like anything, mostly due to personal preference, eh?
We've had more poor experiences there than at any other Disney resort proportionately, so we have learned to stay elsewhere.
Also, we really (me in particular) dislike the pool area. (Again, that personal preference thing).
We've been called at the crack of dawn (on more than one visit) on the day of departure (and repeatedly throughout that morning) to see if "we've left yet."
We had the gate guard be extremely non-Disney like when we were trying to impart important info to him (as we were instructed to do by the front desk). He didn't follow the info and there was a rather big issue to resolve as a result.
We were put in the very last room the furthest from the lobby at the top floor one time (when the boy was just under two). After slogging all that way the key card didn't work. We slogged back to the main lobby, and had some pretty poor service from the front desk. Ended up taking a manager to resolve. The little guy was beyond tired (go ahead, imagine a cranky, hungry toddler... :sigh: ) so that added to the issues.
We've had dirty rooms, rude staff, noisy villas (right over the boardwalk. NOT a good experience!). So on and so forth.
Again, it's mostly a personal preference thing, but we now avoid the place like the plague.
One of the many reasons we are grateful that WDW has so many options. What we really don't care for, others love. What we love, others really don't care for! It's the stuff of life and what keeps it so interesting, eh?
(But you can keep that scary clown pool)!

Yes that is a plus! Also from there you can take the boat ride to Disney Studios. We would also walk through Epcot with our hopper and then take the monorail to MK and to the other resorts along the monorail. Wow..just think in less than 24 hours I will be there..gulp:unsure:
Gotta pack!
