My youngest son is going into hospital on Tuesday to have a bone graph done.
He was born with a cleft lip which was corrected at 6 months, this is the next op he needs to fill a gap in his gum.
He is being very brave but we know he is worried about it.
I'll up date everyone once we are home.

Thanks guys

Oh yes that has already been agreed, we are all going out for a meal once he has healed.
His also got a prezzie waiting for him once he's had the op.

We have tried to make it fun for him as its an op he needs but as it isn't going to make any really difference at the moment he is finding it a little hard to understand why he needs it.

Well it's all over and done.
We arrived at the hospital for 7,30 yesterday morning, Ryan was due down to theatre at 8.30 but he was a little scared so they delayed it and someone went down before him. He had some per op medication which really helped.
He finally went down at 10.40 he was so brave, me and his dad went around the local town just to pass the time, we finally got told at 12.40 he was in recovery, he spent an hour in there mainly because they needed some paper work for the ward.
Once on the ward he had a rest, but was soon up and about.
He managed to eat something which was really good and had a great night sleep.
He woke up at about 6.00 in pain but that soon went with pain relief, he has a really swollen face on one side which is driving him mad and also means he is having trouble eating and drinking.
We were really luck to see the surgeon early this morning and left the hospital about 10.00, Ryan has been chilling on the sofa watching films and playing Xbox.
Wall that's needed now is plenty of rest.
Thanks again everyone.

I've been thinking about you all and Ryan :hug2:

I'm so glad the op is over and he is home, it's much nicer being in your own bed than in a hospital one  Lots of spoiling and cuddles are needed now I think - not sure if that's for Mummy or Ryan though :) :hug2:

Update
His face swelling as reduce a lot today, we've reduced the amount of pain relief he is taking.
He is so fed up with not being able to do much and isn't happy about the bruising which has started to come out.
Still he is on the mend and will soon forget all about this.
