So if I check in to a resort have the tickets on my room card with my dining plan then move to another resort (I know that the dining plan will end then) will my tickets still work on my room card? Never done it like this before

Thank you

yep, if you check in for 7 nights say and you have a dining plan for 7 nights but purchase a 14 day hopper, although the card will stop opening that room after 7 nights and the dining plan will expire, the card will still be good for getting into the parks for the remainder of the 14 days.

In fact you can even have an annual pass added to your room key now

that's great thanks Keith, don't suppose you could get it transferred onto your new room card?

Must admit I haven't tried that. I suspect the answer is YES because they can transfer from an old park ticket onto a room key, so no reason it cant be old room key to new... I suspect it just relies on getting someone co-operative behind the desk ;-)

Yes you can get the new tickets transferred.

And Keith is right, it depends on the willingness of the CM. My rule of thumb is if you know that Disney does something (like transferring tickets to different media) and a CM says no or they can't, just go to a different one.

So how does it work if your AP is on your room key? Does that then become your AP? How do you prove to Disney stores that your have an AP?

yep that then becomes your AP - Stores are able to swipe it to see.

I know when you add normal hoppers they dont even need to see the room key, they just add it to the database for that key but perhaps when you do an AP they give you a new room key with ap marked on it somehow.

Must admit I haven't done it myself so I'm not sure!
