Rainforest Cafe Refurbishment at Downtown Disney

Downtown Disney is currently undergoing a lot of refurbishment that seems to be covering virtually every store and restautrant in the Marketplace, Pleasure Island and West Side.

One of the largest refurbishments is the Rainforest Cafe at the Marketplace. It looks like there will be a new bar called the Lava Lounge as well as an improved facade and a realistic volcano.

The restaurant will remain open during the work, which is expected to be completed around October 2012.

That's really exciting, all of the refurbishing going on. So I am thinking that it won't all be done by the time we get there in December but we'll be able to enjoy some of it

You should be lucky, the Rainforest Cafe is due to be complete in October 2012, so even if they are delayed slightly there is every chance it will be open in December :D

Indeed I consider that lucky. I have never been inside this particular Rainforest Cafe. I assume they all look alike. There is one right inside the Animal Kingdom park where we had breakfast after a long and wet night in DTD :surrender:

Yes, they are both the same, as is T Rex only with dinosaurs. Once you've been in one, you've seen them all. :yes:
