View Full Version : From my grandad

As some of you may remember my grandad is really unwell and has been given only a few months to live, he has just spent the last month in the martlets having a rest and allowing his family to make some changes in the house for him to remain at home.
When his current bedroom was being changed his daughter came across an unused garden voucher that I gave him for Xmas. She asked me if I would take it on grandads behave and get something for my garden.
Well I went to the garden centre today and got a apple tree and a garden ornament, I thought I would choose something that everyone could see and remember why it's there.

I'm sure my grandad would like them as he loved to spend time in the garden when he could.

That is so beautiful Lozzy. :hug2: Having a tangible "something" is very important. I'm realizing that more and more within my own family.

The tree is a wonderful tribute also. It's living and will give you fruit. How perfect a representation for someone you love.

Two precious keepsakes. One living, hopefully in perpetuity, and one symbolic.
