View Full Version : Walt Disney World Resort Hotels to Get New TV Channels

We are hearing that starting on the 13th March 2012, Walt Disney World Resorts will be introducing new cable TV channels in their resort hotels.

The completion of all Resort Hotels is expected to be completed by the 8th May, but on the day the upgrade takes place the service will be down for about 20 minutes between 10am and 3pm. The channel selections will be available on Channel 17.

The new channels will include the following:

Food Network
Fox News
History Channel
HGTV
National Geographic
SyFy
TBS
TLC
TNT
Travel Channel
TV Land

What do you think about the upgrade of the cable channels or aren’t you really in your room long enough to watch TV?

When we went, we just kept it on the Disney Parks channel that comes on-:happybounce: I guess we were so excited, that's all we wanted to know about. And we were usually not in the room that much.

I've only ever stayed on site once, and we hardly watched any TV and if we had the Disney Parks Channel on and Stacey (I think that's her name) came on we used to hit the mute button :lol: :lol:

I only watch the news and weather when i am at disney too busy having a good time

NBC, CNN and weather channel for me. If in doubt put the weather channel on i say!

YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!! Food Network and HGTV! :happybounce: We only watch it in the evening when we return to the villa, but it will be nice to have some options.
