locations:

-- Akershus
-- Biergarten
-- Boma

-- Chef Mickey's
-- Cinderella's Royal Table
-- Crystal Palace
-- Garden Grill

I swear I think this is ridiculous. The meals are high enough as it is, they are just being greedy IMO.

All of these extra charges are going to come back to bite them......the economy is not good right now..

How on earth can they justify charging x amount for a steak one evening then putting the price up another...to be brought down again! Greed :(

We've been caught with some of the ADRs we've made at Christmas :sigh;

This seems very underhand and also very short sighted of Disney to do this.
Fortunately if that is the complete list, then we don`t tend to frequent those particular restaurants so it won`t affect us too much. I`d certainly have a word in someone`s ear if the YSH was on the list though!

If you have transport, please consider dining offsite during these times. There are very nice restaurants quite close to WDW that will be happy to serve you for the same price year round!

Charley's Steakhouse has a free transport van remember!

Also, depending upon where you dine, if you get a cab from DTD the cost for transport isn't that high.

Disney needs to realize that some forms of greed are just not going to be condoned. :(

That`s a great point to make Tink.
Much as we love dining on Disney property [and will continue to do so in certain restaurants], more recently we have been trying some off-site places for dinner where we have had some great meals at a lower cost than on site.

The only thing we miss is that when dinner is over then that`s that. i.e. we can`t take a pleasant stroll through the resorts to walk off the meal before we retire.
There are some great restaurants "out there" though aren`t there?

Yes, there are some very nice restaurants that will provide a meal just as nice or nicer (than some) WDW restaurants. Depending upon where you've dined you can take a walk thereafter. The Dr. Phillips area is nice for a stroll, the malls of course (although those don't necessarily inspire fine dining) parts of I-Drive... Celebration. All depends upon where you are of course. I'd not stroll along the 192.

I'll check and see if I can find a contact number for Charley's, Keith. I'm not positive which Charley's it takes you to, so I'll try to find that out too.

Charley's Steakhouse on OBT (I think this is the original. It's the one that will give you a free steak dinner on your birthday (up to about $25 entree). We've had this there:

The Ultimate Surf'nTurf - Charley's Master cut, a 50 ounce filet mignon paired with a two pound Australian lobster tail.

Nice, don't get me wrong, but I'm a snob. I want Maine lobster or it isn't lobster. :sorry:

For the one listed as being at Celebration. It's the one on 192 that you went to Keith.

The one on I-Drive. I'm not familiar with this one.

And there is one in Tampa too.

Hope that helps!

I think it's the 192/Celebration Charley's that does the free transport. But it may be all of them. You'd have to call and ask.

Sorta, kinda Slowhand. You are in the right neck of the woods. It's north of the Mall.

Two of us John. :D  No, we didn't finish it. We brought home loads!

Oh, meant to say it ws $80 with the discount for a birthday dinner, so we felt it was reasonable. You could easily spend more than that on two people. We did add wine, of course, and dessert (nope, didn't finish that at ALL! ) so the total bill came to more, but it was still quite reasonable we thought.
