View Full Version : Terrible incident at EPCOT

It came over the nightly news that a Doctor from Italy (presumption is medical doctor, as here they usually say if it's not so) was arrested and removed from EPCOT today.

Why? For kicking his three year old child in the face. It makes my stomach turn to think of if. Apparently, they were in Norway when it happened and two CMs ran to the child's aid. The child was crying and bleeding from the face. The parents (yes, the mother was there) both said that he slapped, not kicked the child, as he was not behaving and bothering his brothers.

However, there were eye witnesses to the kicking.

He has bonded out of jail, and no further info was provided.

We once, years ago saw a man in DTD yank (presumably) his wife around by the neck, and shriek at her. We simply called 911, but never did see how it played out fully.

I cannot imagine the life that poor child must have.

If I saw something like that happen in front of me they would need two ambulances and they would be locking me up with that savage.

I don't know where the child is, or whether s/he was brought to hospital for care. :(

It would be darn near impossible to not intervene, wouldn't it?

I am hearing stories like this FAR too much these days. It makes me sick and so angry I can't breath.

There is a special place in hell..

There is a photo of this animal. I can not believe this animal is a doctor.

What a b....dy low life. What worries me is that the wife claimed it was just a smack not a kick, but neither is acceptable, he sustained a nasty cut and swelling. That poor little chap has to go home with that.

What will happen to the man, will he be deported or could he be jailed over there?

If I'd witnessed that, they would have had to drag me off the father. :stormmad:

:yeahthat:

Course, I'm afraid that if I saw it, they'd actually just need a body bag for him.

Tom (:macwave:... lock him up and throw away the key!)

Some people make me sick :( :furious: they don't deserve children, there are lots of people out there that can't have them and when you see animals like that it breaks my heart.

I hope they prosecute the pig, lock him up over there and don't let him go home to Italy. Three years old for gods sake, it's not just the physical damage it the psycological damage as well. Your dad is someone you look up to, who protects you and makes everything better not who abuses you

Boggles the mind. I am so encouraged that so many would intervene. I would hope that at the instant I saw it I would do the exactly the same and drop kick the guy since he likes kicking so much. I like to think that I would.

That is terrible. I can't believe that his wife said all he did was slap him. If you are going to punish a child it certainly should not be by striking him in the face like that. Disgusting. Lock him up and throw away the key.

This just sickens me. What the father did is horrible. I can only imagine what goes on in private. As for the mother, I would bet money that she fears for her safety as well and is powerless to do anything :-(

Absolutely sickening! But, at a far lower threshold of abuse, how many times have you seen grim-faced parents (usually, but not exclusively Dads) dragging their miserable, hot and tired brood around the parks, insisting that they WILL have a great time, given the cost etc.....

Absolutely disgusting. I hope he gets locked up in a nasty jail over there and the other inmates know what he's in for.

What a big brave man............ not :( and yes I would have intervened because I get a red mist come over my eyes and god help them....

Three!!! He is THREE!! Not that this behavior is acceptable at ANY age, but what on Earth could a THREE year old in a stroller be doing to his brothers that was so awful???? Sadly, these incidents happen all too often...and furthermore, shame shame on that mother for not standing up for her CHILD.

I was surprised to read that the parents wouldn't let the authorities take the child to hospital, I would have thought they would have automatically removed him  I suppose it's different because they are on holiday.

In NYC that child would have been brought to the hospital and removed from the parents and placed into Children Services pending an investigation. The father would have been immediately arrested and charged with Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Charging the mother would be difficult but it's a possibility that she could be charged with the endangering charge as well.

Quick. Let's get these morons an all expense paid trip to New York city.

Oh, when you've got that animal in handcuffs, can you beat him a little bit?

Oh OK, if you insist. A lot. Please! :beg:

Tom (:macwave:... still fuming...)

I'm surprised a bit too, that the child wasn't brought to the hospital regardless of parental consent. I wonder if it had something to do with their citizenship? I have no idea.
