For all you canon 7d owners, you'll know that the camera is pretty amazing at the moment right? well something amazing has happened, canon has released a ver2 of the firmware adding features as well as improving things.

This is pretty exciting as Canon never add new features with upgrades, they save them for new cameras, so this is showing a real commitment to the 7d and should be a really nice upgrade. Enjoy!

Increase in burst rate will be good but maximum ISO setting is an absolute must. Gives me the control that I have been gagging for without having to set it at 400 to stop it going too high.

Now to work out how to download it.

Not near my computer at the mo. do I just hook it up like when I download pics and it connects that way ? Sorry to be thick.

Pretty chuffed they still refer To it as 'flagship'
I only use a 50th of its potential but it is awesome. I love it and although pricey its worth every penny

truly excellent camera and I'm glad theyve stepped up and supported it well!

you can either attach to comp with usb OR you can just download the firmware onto a compact flash, put that in the camera and select upgrade

Cheers for posting this bud I wouldn't have known otherwise. Some of the upgrades are really impressive and useful. Not sure how firmware can alter burst speed. The ability to alter file names will be very useful.
