Animal Kingdom take 2.

Still kiddie/stroller hell at the gate (took ten minutes to get into the park) but we managed to out race them all to the Safari.

Front row seats at Festival of the Lion King. First time we've ever seen the show and it's really very good. Animatronic Simba is great and the monkeys are pretty funny.

From there to Everest and then Finding Nemo for the first time.

Half an hour to get out from there as another thunderstorm revealed itself and people didn't want to leave the theatre only to get wet. Tut tut. They should try living in Wales for a while.

Lunch at Tusker House. Not bad. Slightly better veggie range than others but Chef Mickey still the best buffet.

No hats today as we have fancy dress later :)

Back to hotel to get changed for the Halloween party.

Mickey has a quick look at what's on offer:

Great fun running around in costumes, doing the rides in the dark. Firework display as spectacular as ever, particularly at the end. Attention to detail throughout the whole park pretty spot on really, from the lights to the music to the zombie dancers.

Great night, back by 11.30 pm exhausted and dehydrated but happy.

Glad you had fun at the MNSSHP. We love the parade. Is that a GIANT Cookie on that plate?

By British standards yes it was giant. By American standards I'd say below average ;)

I thought fancy dress wasn't allowed? Is it now and has it always been? Not that I'm ever going to go in fancy dress but one needs to know these things.

it's allowed at MNSSHP

I don't think a man can go dressed as a woman though

I have a photograph of Baleigh from MNSSHP and in the background is a gentleman dressed quite fetchingly as Belle  I remember him vividly because he kept popping up in the same places as us!

Why wouldn't a man be allowed to dress up as a woman?

I would like to challenge Disney on that one, I'm sure I'd be able to go as Peter Pan or a male pirate.

Blimey, I honestly thought they didn't let men do that, I'll be keeping an eye out on Tuesday night :D and then post any photographic evidence I can find

Tinkerbell flying from the castle was a Tinkerbill at one point. Until our fantastic cameras were able to get evidence of it.
