As many of you will know I lost my grandad a few months ago.
He left some money to his 4 children, who have then given they children some money so they could buy themselves something from grandad.
Well I went out today and brought myself a lovely 18 carol white gold ring.

Really hope grandad will be pleased with my chose.

Oh it wasn't at full price I paid 699.00 for it.

I'm sure he would have been, but it's so hard to spend money from someone who is no longer here, it's amazing how guilty you feel.

I know exactly how you feel, my Dad didn't have much, but he did leave me a little bit of money, I haven't wanted to spend it partly for the same reason as you and I still haven't been able to find something I like to honour him. I do know now I would like a ring that I can wear everyday to sit alongside my Nan's engagement ring, but I don't know what type.

Try not to feel guilty :hug2: it's what he would have wanted and it's even more special, because it's from him :hug2:

It's beautiful! Everytime you wear it I'm sure you will think of him, and what better honor than to be remembered daily.

It's a beautiful tribute, Lozzy. It will be a comfort to wear it and know that he gave it to you. :hug2:

There has been a slight change in the ring I am getting.
I collected the lovely ring that I had chosen yesterday, it is beautiful but sadly it isn't very comfortable to wear, I have taken it back and got a smaller ring, it's still white gold with the same amount of diamond carot.

Hopefully this one will be a better fit.

I like that one even more :hug2: you can wear that every day, so he is with you always :hug2:

I hope so Wendy. The other one really wasn't an everyday ring.

Very nice. Classic. I hope it's more comfortable on your finger than the previous one. No harm in returning them until you find just the right one!

Yes, that is the point, isn't it? Your Grandad was there for you on a daily basis, not a "special occasions only" sort of man, eh?

The second ring is very nice and I hope it works for you. I found a gold band that is bent like a hexagon, in my Da's little jewelry case. I have no real memory of it, or any idea of why it is bent like it is, but it's on my finger now. Regardless of its appearance, it was his and that's what matters to me, so I fully understand how important a daily ring is.
