i have a 2gb one, someone told me not to get a 4gb one as they are too slow but to get a couple of 2's instead. Is that right?

thanks

nah not really

Most of the decent sandisk/lexar cards are now faster than the cameras can write to them anyway. It's just not a big deal

You do hear people saying things like well if you lose a 4gb card you'll lose twice as many photos which I guess is true

I used 4GB cards for years with top end fast cameras and now Im on 8GBs

I bought a 4 gb flash card from "over there" and I`ve not noticed any difference in speed at all compared with the 2gb that I had before.

I swear by sandisk and at lexar

tbh every photographer will tell you a different story and both are good makes, but ALL my lexar cards have died and ALL my sandisks are fine. So Im sticking with what works

I think you can now get 16Gb, but I heard rumours of 32gb coming out soon.
Britchick personally, I'd stick with 2Gb cards. Reason being if your card corrupts you don't lose 4Gb, you only lose 2Gb. Now there is nothing saying you can't have 10x 2Gb cards. The above recommendations of brands are good, top 3 over here seem to be Kingston, Lexar and Sandisk.
