Hi everyone:overhere:, its quite rainy and cloudy today, so recharging our batteries:tongue0011-1:.

Had a fab trip over, met a fellow V flyer at the Virgin CH and then later at the bar at 38,000 and emptied the bar of champagne!!!!.

Miami airport, never again was a nightmare, the drive up to orlando was fab though, only took 2hr 50mins:p015:

Villa has a lovely lake view, the ducks are very clever and as soon as we are up and about they all waddle over around 50 of them. Sunset Lakes is in a supreb position the best we have ever had, just in the Formosa gardens area. Highly recommended:yes::gy:

We have managed to go to Epcot, AK, and MGM or hollywood studios now. We also had our wishes cruise Tues eve, was superb and even better than last time. Our guide DT was awesome and we had 1hour 40 with him, he did show us the hidden bear face at Wilderness lodge, never heard of that before.

We had a fantastic eve at Epcot last night, chatting to some lovely people from orlando, then taking in Off Kilter and finishing with The Illuminations

The parks are no busier than September, thankfully:tongue0011-1:

We are having a fab time, the kids are in the pool as usual. just about to have a Vodka/tonic, large one.
Bye for now:overhere:

Glad you're having a great time, Catherine--despite the Miami airport! Looks like you picked a good time to visit the parks--some US schools began the fall session during the past two weeks.

I'm so glad you are having fun Catherine :hug2:

We've often wondered about flying into Miami and then going down to the Keys and finishing off in Orlando. Maybe it's not such a good idea

It was awful Tink, a real rubbishy airport. We were off the plane first and it still took forever. Many other passengers and the cabin crew pre-warned us that it CAN be a nightmare, not always but mostly.

We are flying to New York from Miami on Friday afternoon, here is hoping for the best.,
Its been so hot today, burnt my shoulders. We seem to have a storm on the way!!!!

Tropical Storm Fay.

Keep an eye on the local weather, please, Catherine. It's apparently moving more slowly than originally anticipated and the path hasn't been confirmed yet. As of about an hour ago.

:fingers: it misses you!

Awww. Sorry about the airport. I saw a documentary once on how the airport inspectors would confiscate illegal reptiles like cayman and all sorts of snakes and then LET THEM GO on the outer grounds of the airport. As a result, there is a real problem with cayman in that area. (Nastier than 'gators by far).

Newark used to be pretty bad too, but they've really cleaned that one up.

The storm is headed for Florida, so keep a sharp eye out. I know that can be hard while on holiday. It's still not forecast to be greater than a Cat 1 but that still carries the very real threat of tornadoes. :lipwobble:

Hiya Hun, dont think we will be doing much shopping this visit.;)

We managed to change our flights from Tampa to New york. so only 80 miles as opposed to 240miles.

I will post some pictures asap.
