It sounds like the Wi-Fi network will be used to connect the new NextGen Fastpass system with a mobile app called “My Disney Experience,” (http://wdisneysecrets.com/forums/showthread.php?23127-‘My-Disney-Experience’-app-to-replace-‘Mobile-Magic’-as-Disney-parks’-official-app) building upon the existing Mobile Magic app.

I didn't say I was going to actually carry it, just stating that the battery lasts 10 hours. I'm the same as you with my DROID RAZR, the battery probably won't make it through a day.
