Be Our Guest Restaurant at Fantasyland Advanced Dining Reservations begin August 20th

Walt Disney World today announced that Advanced Dining Reservations for the Be Our Guest Restaurant in the New Fantasyland will begin on the 20th August 2012.

This is great news for everyone that has been waiting.

Disney have also said that the new restaurant will be open to the public beginning on the 6th December.

has anyone heard whether it will be 1 or 2 credits? i'm suspecting 2 but not seen anything

just looked on dining plan for 2013 and it is under the regular table service, not character or signature so it would appear it is only 1

This is what I've been able to find out:


Dinner will use one dining credit on the Disney Dining Plan


The restaurant does not offer character dining.


There are three separate decorated wings in which patrons may dine, all inspired by locations within Beast’s castle as seen in the “Beauty and the Beast” animated film.


Guests can’t reserve a specific area but are free to stop by the restaurant before their reserved time to make such a request.


Some seats will feature a fireworks view.


I would think it will eventually be 2 credits.

I think I'd be checking the web site to make the ADR's at 12:01 AM EST on Monday. :yes:
No guarantees they'll have it up there but once they do, I'm sure that the reservations will go fast! :exit:

On the Disney Dining Plan, the Be Our Guest Restaurant is:


One quick-service entitlement for lunch


One table-service entitlement for dinner

Lunch is quick and casual and no reservations are required. There will be Guest-activated terminals that will make ordering easy and quick, but there will also will be traditional cashiers for cash orders and special dietary requests. Once you have ordered, you will take a seat and lunch will be delivered to your table – on china, not paper.

At lunch there will be salads like the tuna Nicoise and sandwiches such as the Croque Monsieur (ham and cheese) and grilled steak sandwich with garlic butter spread. There will also be heartier fare, like braised pork and vegetable quiche

Dinner will be full table service and reservations are required and the cuisine is French inspired to match the film’s theme.

When booking a dining reservation for dinner, you will be required to provide a credit card number in advance and you will be charged $10.00 per person if you don't cancel at least one day in advance.

Dinner selections include the usual favorites like steak, poultry and fish; but with a French flair befitting of the environment. Grilled strip steak with pommes frites (French fries), French onion soup and thyme-scented pork chop are just a few of the things found on the dinner menu.

The restaurant features three themed dining rooms: the mysterious West Wing with the “enchanted rose;” the Rose Gallery with twirling, larger-than-life figures of Belle and Beast; and The Ballroom with elegant details, such as a domed ceiling, twinkling chandeliers and glimpses of softly falling snow outside.

Apparently the reservations that will start via phone on August 20th can be made for dinners starting NOVEMBER 19TH!! So you could have a chance to eat there even before the grand opening!!

there wasn't a fault with their system when i secured my time and date it was because they can't take a UK phone number, that's what i'm cross at. We foreigners spend a lot of money with Disney and they should really get their act together. I'm giving up now as it's costing me a fortune. Have tried UK number and US number, was on hold for an hour and 15 mins! Going back to work :rant:

to be honest, from what I read it's a large place... december is gonna be hard I think but jan/feb are usually quieter times anyway so should be ok IMHO

For such a huge company, it is always shocking to me that the computer/phone lines cannot meet the demand when Disney releases new promos/dining/etc.

You're welcome, make sure you take lots of photos.

When you arrive at the restaurant you can request to sit in a particular dining room although it is not gauaranteed.

I heard, although not sure how true, that there were large phone groups setup to nab reservations for people and that Disney had hope the cc requirement would stop it but it didnt. So people phoned up and were staying on the phone making loads of reservations for the people so they could choose which one they wanted to go to :nono:

If that's true, loads of spaces should open up 24hrs or so before the day so it'll be worth phoning disney dining whilst there.

On some of the more... gairy private forums, people were laughing about how they'd been on the phone an hour to make all the reservations they had to make for people and they weren't TAs or anything.

Disney have said that they won't cancel as they are aware of the SNAFU.
