From Sunday 26th August 2012, Splash Mountain will no longer be available to Guests attending the evening Extra Magic Hours.
Disney have said that they continue to evaluate what they offer their Guests and beginning the week of the 26th August, the Magic Kingdom will be adding Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room to the list of evening Extra Magic Hours offerings.
The Country Bear Jamboree will also be available from mid-October after it's refurbishment.
Once the New Fantasyland is open, Disney is expected to also add some attractions to the evening Extra Magic Hours.
How do you feel about Splash Mountain being removed?

Thats not going to be a popular move!
So if a park has EMH that doesn't actually mean the whole park is available during the extra hours?
I had no idea. :anxious:

 that's right Dawn, only selected rides/attractions/counter service restaurants are open during EMH.
Taking away Splash Mountain will make a lot of people unhappy, but I assume Disney know what they're doing
I must pay more attention in future...
Well we are offsiters so EMH doesn't affect us but if I was making a special trip to the Magic Kingdom I'd expect to find Splash Mountain waiting for me.
Tiki Birds? Pah!

I've done loads of EMH and never realised not all the rides were available lol! I guess all the ones I actually wanted to do must have been open. Now, if they get rid of BTMR then I'll be MAD!

I guess I could understand that in the cooler weather, but in the hot summer months even the nights can be hot and muggy and that is a nice way to cool down.

Dislike. There are times when we have been at EMH *specifically* to ride the three mountains. Taking any of them away is disappointing.

You've been able to get on Splash Mountain during EMH Becca?
Weird. :insane:
Whenever we've been there for EMH, the whole of Adventure Land/Frontier Land/Liberty Square was closed until the park opened to the general public.
Tom (:macwave:... or, with my luck, it was just closed for me. :sigh:)

I agree. I can see this happening from November through March but the other months this ride should remain open during EMH. Disney is starting to use the term "perks" very loosely.

That stinks... We will be in Magic Kingdom on Sunday and we always save Splash for EMH. I guess we will have to fast pass it

That doesn't sound great. I can't say that adding the Tiki Rooms and Jamboree is great move in my opinion :(
