There won't be any chicken nuggets or burgers on the Kid's Menu at the Be Our Guest Restaurant, instead you will find a menu that features delicious options that let kids dine like adults.

Walt Disney World Executive Chef Lenny DeGeorge said “We’re making the ketchup from scratch using carrots, even the meatloaf also has vegetables and bulghur wheat, so kids are getting their vegetables and whole grains and don’t even realize it.”

Along with the turkey meatloaf shaped like Mickey Mouse, the kids’ lunch menu includes a carved turkey sandwich on multi-grain bread, with sweet potato wedges instead of fries and peach applesauce for a touch of sweetness. There’s also roasted pulled pork with sautéed green beans and sweet potato mash. Pasta lovers will like the whole-grain macaroni with marinara and mozzarella, and if your kid will try the fish, they’ll love the mild-flavored mahi-mahi served with a “salad” of broccoli, cucumber sticks and grape tomatoes and peach applesauce.

Dinner adds a child-sized grilled steak with fresh vegetables, grilled fish of the day with whole-grain rice pilaf and fresh vegetables, a grilled chicken breast with macaroni topped with marinara and mozzarella with fresh veggies, and the turkey meatloaf and whole-grain macaroni with marinara and mozzarella.

Yes, you still can request French fries. And each meal comes with 1 percent milk, bottled water or 100 percent apple juice.

Kids get treated to a grown-up dessert – either a fancy cupcake or cream puff. We bet you can get little ones to eat their veggies when they know these delectable sweet endings are next.

Thumbs up from me too! It's so hard getting proper food for the kids on holiday.

Though I can't imagine too many kids choosing mahi mahi it is good to see this type of change in the menu. Our then 9 year old GD Sara loved steak. She was able to order it at 50's Prime Time. We were told they only had the adult portion. She ate every bit of it.

My boy would. He's a certified foodie, even once complaining there was not enough squid in his paella.

Last time we went to 50s he ordered the salmon. :D

Im not so sure mine would! Whilst shes not at all fussy she's quite plain, will eat all veg and fruit, meat etc but she knows what she likes and what she doesnt - which is why buffets are great for us when we are away!

The Boy would LOVE these, especially the fish. He still says he wants to be a chef and will quiz anyone who will talk with him, on the ingredients the preparation, the taste and the appearance of his food. He gets seriously offended if he's offered what he considers to be "baby food."

I'm loving this for me! If I don't have someone to share with then I will usually get a kids meal. I'm glad to see good stuff!!

I think this is a great idea children should have the chance to eat proper food

My kids will love this, they'll be 6 and 2 when we next visit. They eat normal adult food at home, so why not when we're away? This is a good thing, it looks absolutely delicious. I really like that they're thinking about health too.
