What is that huge torpedo shaped building?

Nice shots! I like the contrast between the architecture of antiquity and the modern buildings.

found this tink

The Gherkin, or 30 St Mary Axe to use its real name, contains the head offices of reinsurance company Swiss Re.

It also contains a restaurant and private dining rooms on the 38th and 39th floors, and there is a private bar on the top (40th) floor for tenants and guests only.

The building was completed in 2004 to a design by Norman (Lord) Foster. It was constructed by Swedish company Skanska.

It occupies the site of the former Baltic Exchange building, which was hit by an IRA terrorist bomb explosion in 1992. This bombing killed three innocent people (including a child) and destroyed the building beyond repair.

Thanks everyone, I have lost some of the quality because I needed to reduce the photo size, All photos were taken on a Canon EOS 400D with the kits lens.
