Early in the morning of the 20th September 2013, the 19th annual Magical Taxi Tour set off from East Wintergarden at Canary Wharf to Disneyland Paris. The convoy of 100 licensed London taxis took 120 children suffering from a range of chronic debilitating illnesses and life limiting conditions and their families on a three-day free trip to Disneyland Paris. The kindness of these 100 taxi drivers was quite touching as they gave up their time and the use of their vehicle free of charge to provide services to these children.

Magical Taxi Tour is a major brand activity of London taxis and over the course of 20 years, the trips have taken around 4,000 children to Disneyland Paris thanks to the 90-100 taxis participating every year. Accompanied by police escorts from City of London and France, ambulances from London Ambulance NHS Trust and Automobile Association vehicles, the escorted convoy could stretch 3 miles long when lining up. Every participant from the taxi driver to the sponsor provides services for free. The helped children come from different parts of UK and receive treatment in different hospitals including London's famous Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

This is a great story when people do good things in a world when there are so many bad things

That's lovely. One day I hope to be able to be part of a team that does this

I think the London cab drivers do a lot for charity, I often hear of something they have done.
