Enjoy a Disney Dining Plan at no cost for your 2009 holiday!
Book five nights or more at a selected Disney Resort for arrivals between 2nd August - 3rd October 2009, and you'll receive FREE dining for the duration of your stay for everyone in your party. (Note: this is the very slowest season at Walt Disney World due to school schedules, heat/humidity and peak hurricane season.)
Choose a Moderate Resort and receive the Quick Service Dining Plan for FREE
Choose a Deluxe Resort or a select Deluxe Villa Resort (Old Key West or Saratoga Springs) and receive the regular Dining Plan for FREE
Also includes a 14-Day Ultimate Ticket for the price of a 7-Day
Requires purchase of a holiday package including accommodation at a Walt Disney World Moderate Resort, Disney Deluxe Resort or selected Disney Deluxe Villa Resort, plus a Disney Ticket and Disney Dining Plan. This fantastic offer is only available for bookings made on or before 4th November 2008. Book via the Disney UK web site or tour operators in the UK.
The number of rooms allocated to this offer is limited. No group rates or discounts apply. Applies to new bookings only. Gratuities not included.
Interesting twist. I had told some that if free dining was offered next year I bet it would only be for the counter service plan.

I'm here (very drunk) but i can't book until it's announced for US guests as i already have my park passes.
I'm hoping to get quick dining free at Value and upgrade to full but if not we will have to stay at POR and upgrade to full.
Will you be doing moderate with us?

Johnie, do you think this foreshadows anything in regards to the bounceback offers for the US? Or do you think they are completely unrelated?

hmmmm is the halloween party on as early as the 3rd? I'd be kinda tempted if I could combine a stay with the party

When the US free dining was announced this year it was available at Value but that was before Quick dining was introduced.
I still think staying at Moderate will be worth it though if we upgrade and choose our ADR's carefully!!!

I'd love to stay at a moderate, where are you thinking, T? PoR?

Thanks for the info Johnie.
I like the idea of the two different levels for Mod and Deluxe. It will hopefully mean that places like Le Celier won't be as busy
I don't see the point of it if they are going to let people upgrade to the standard package though :rolleyes008: Obviously they think they are going to make more money that way :(

If it's like this year Keith then MNSSHP will start on or around 3rd October :D

Yes Becca if we have to do moderate it will be POR.
I'd really like to stay there but the kids want to do POP as it's more Disney.
Wendy if we are paying does it really matter where we are staying and what plan we get?
I could stay at a value and pay for Deluxe. It is a chance for me and the kids to do something i couldn't afford to pay for if i was doing it all OOP.

Makes sense, though. Higher end resort, higher value dining plan.

OOOOH...then I have the perfect idea...I'll book PoR and you book POP....we'll put all the kids over at Pop and the adults can stay at PoR :D

Done!!!!
We can then eat well on the free dining and they can share counetr service meals!!!
Always makes me laugh though that those who can afford to stay deluxe get free dining when they can afford to pay for it anyway!!!
Whatever we get is greatfully received as i need to go as cheap as possible!

ohhh I like that idea! And Alysia will be an adult next year so she can provide the adult supervision for the kiddos
Becca,
I've noticed that the bounce back program offers a little more latitude. But, it could certainly be like this plan as well. You just never know with Disney. I am ready and able to go mod for next year if need be

You need to book with Disney UK or a UK tour operator per the message.

how do you upgrade the dining plan , I take it I'd book mod and a fee to upgrade ?
Johnie
21-08-2008, 06:02 PM
At this point, I don't even know if you will be allowed to upgrade the dining plan. This is for the UK people only at this point so we'll have to wait and see what they offer us.
Tinker
21-08-2008, 06:09 PM
oh yes, I realize that but the norm is that we are offered the same deal... so I was just thinking ahead is all .
This could get expensive . Rack Rate moderate , upgrade to $10.00 per person x 14 days to get the most out of the tix . I'm probably going to purchase an AP and just do room only . What are your thoughts ?

Yes please so we can see what you are surprising the kids with and if we're going to be there in time for some of the surprises too :D:D:D

Well the UK people last year weren't even allowed to book value but we were. So, I don't know what we'll be offered this year. It certainly can get expensive. I'd crunch the numbers and see if you can get a good AP rate and then buy the DDE card to save the 20%. It might work out better that way.
Tinker
21-08-2008, 06:21 PM
forgot about the DDE card ... I think that will be the route I will go .
Dizneyblonde
21-08-2008, 06:37 PM
I will just take whatever is on offer.
I may even decide to stay at POP and not have DP and pay OOP for fewer ADR's.
Don't think the kids would go for that though!
Tinker
21-08-2008, 07:03 PM
I agree DB . Since I want to come & celebarate with you , it looks like I'll be rooming alone . So that said, I will take what I can afford, too . :hug2::lol:

Will the bounceback give us any idea as to what might be on offer next April Johnie?

I was thinking the same thing . Teresa , what are the roundabout dates ?
Tinker
21-08-2008, 07:57 PM
*If* we do the cruise sooner, I may just bring Jim along . And if the bouceback is in our poly room . Only way I'd even think about it , although POR is gorgeous . WooHoo
Dorothy
21-08-2008, 08:12 PM
Why POR and not FQ?
Tinker
21-08-2008, 08:19 PM
Not sure, either are nice . :D but there's something about POR .

21-08-2008, 08:23 PM

We fly out on 10th August and stay on I-Drive for 9 nights.
Then we transfer to RPR for 2 nights to do Universal.
21st August we get to Disney for 10 nights wherever turns out the best option!!!
Dizneyblonde
21-08-2008, 08:41 PM
The free dining for UK guests is from earlier in August this year until October time so hopefully the duration will be longer for US guests when it's anounced in April too.

Thanks, DB , marking my calendar August 21st - 31st to book somewhere around those dates . As we get closer you can let me know the evening or evenings for meets and I will work with those dates . :hug2:

Tinker, on the UK site the upgrade price if £4 per day, and £1 for children, so I guess it would equate to $7 or $8 depending on what exchange rate you use.
