I need to book both parties hopefully, depending on the dates and Im hoping to get october 31st which I know will be busy!

Any ideas when they normally announce the mnsshp and mvmcp 2014 dates?

The tickets normally go on sale in May but rough dates will be available when November and December's Park hours are released :)

If you want the 31st, you will have to buy as soon as they go on sale as it sells out very quickly. It's mega busy as you can imagine.

yeah gulp! I've done the 31st before and really enjoyed the atmosphere but I do have backup dates of 29/30 oct depending which days they choose

Unless my memory has slipped, doesn't MNSSHP run in mid September? DW to be and I are really looking forward to doing this on our honeymoon!

The first of May is usually the sale date

I used to prefer the christmas party in the old days when they still had "twas the night before christmas" show and official photos etc but it's gone off in the last few years. I think they're selling way more tickets to the point where it's very very packed and less things to do.

The halloween party seems much better to me these days

Really hoping I can get both done in the same trip this year though... provided the christmas party starts early enough

Come on MVMCP 2014 and MNSSHP 2014 tickets.....

Which does everyone prefer?

me too! I was shocked after not having been for 8/9 years. We used to love it. I hated the stitch show, how is that Christmassy? The parade was good but not as good as it was before. They've reduced the number of my favourite things the soldiers and reindeers. Not bothered about the photo now there is photo pass - i never looked my best anyway ..ho hum

yeah I mean I used to quite enjoy the photo even though it was a bit conveyer belt  a few weeks into january the photo would pop through the letter box and give me a smile.

So they've removed that, they removed my fave show :( it's definitely not as good.

I really loved the halloween show last time we went

i really want to go to the Halloween one, as yet we haven't been because of school holidays etc. The way to Jon's heart is his belly so some lovely pictures of the food and wine festival is guaranteed a trip at that time in my future! I want to stay in the Beach or Yacht Club so we can walk to and fro with no problems.

Having done this last year, I can absolutely attest to it's utter awesomeness. We've been spoiled and I don't think we could stay anywhere else (save perhaps the Boardwalk where we are this year) during this time of year. Thank goodness for the DVC rental points!

Definitely a bigger fan of the MNSSHP than the Christmas one - which is huge as I LOVE all things Christmas. It just seems like they've watered it down so much...

In my opinion the Halloween Party is the best party. I love the way people dress up and it is a really fun - but busy - evening and well worth the cost of the ticket.

I think they have cut down on the candy from previous years and taken away some of the really nice chocolate bars - Oh Henry's - I loved them

Britchick

i don't particularly like the candy anyway but would be nice to bring back for nephews and nieces :)

We will be doing MVMCP this year and looking forward to it. I haven't done it since 1999 and my wife since 2001 (she took her Grandma and two nieces on a long weekend). I'm sure it's changed a bit since then. Do they at least still have the hot chocolate and cookies throughout the park?

I agree with Caitlin about the hot chocolate.

We bought back candy one year and it weighed so much we decided not to bother again. We collect it for my gorgeous little man now :D

We've only been to the Halloween party and it was wonderful. We had the very best time!

We've wanted to do the Christmas party, but in 2008 when we REAAAAAALLLY wanted to go, it ended before the dates that we could attend. We've not seriously tried since then. Given all the reviews, I don't think I'd spend the money on that.

The halloween party is beyond doubt the best. There's a theme and everyone just seems to really get involved.

Christmas well :/ I LOVE christmas but I've not felt it at the Disney party these last few years :/

We did MVMCP on a Tuesday night in December on this past trip. It was sold out and so crowded you couldn't move. I don't think we saw any shows and our view of the fireworks was less than desirable.

I got the print at home tickets. Can we just go up to the gates with these or do we have to collect tickets from the booth ?

Does it have a code on it like DAVID1234 or something? if so, you'd normally trade those in for a ticket
