OK, here goes, a very short trip report, and no it is not winter in Maine yet, still have leaf peeking season to come.
The four ladies left Maine at 6AM on Sunday and drove to Penn, spent the night there at the Red Roof, ok but sure nothing to talk about. left there at 7AM and was almost creamed by an eighteen wheeler in Va, :shocked025:but got to NC by 5PM for check in to a very mountain like resort. up a long winding road!!!:shocked025:
We spend the week seeing the sites, Grandfather mountain was great:p015:, lots of pool time, got to see my son and his wife for the weekend, which was my reason for going. They are moving to a new home, so were tired but fine. He did some fishing in the area, you can take the boy out of Maine but not Maine out of the boy.:rolleyes008:

I always eat my way though that ever country or state I am in, Hate to say it but enjoy all food, gained four lbs even with all the walking, back to the game plan of lossing some lbs now. We went to every gift shop and farmers market we could find, and all the places you could drop money. Even took my walking stick and did a few easy trails to a couple of water falls.
