After re-costing my holiday again (I know this is dangerous but can't help myself) I discover that there are two new lines on the costing under title 'Vaa discount' amounting to nearly £600 off :mad:
Checked other dates throughout summer 09 and this discount showed up so may be useful to some of you.
Rang VH and lady said she would have to put me through to 'service' who deal with existing bookings. Hung on for ages before getting the option to leave name/tel number.
Even if I have to pay the £25 each amendment fee it will still be worth it. Other option would be to extend holiday for same price.
So waiting to see what they say...bet there is somthing in the small print to allow them to worm their way out of it.
Doesn't always pay to book early :(

:fingers: Debbie, with the way the £/$ is dropping and the lack of money I think they will all have to start reducing their prices soon.

Totally agree with you, Wendy.
These are huge reductions and things must be bad for them to do it so early for 2009.

I repriced our flydrive and those discounts are there for us as well although tbh it only works out about £80 difference for us and we have the free Vroom and had a free upgrade to an SUV so it isn't worth ringing for us.
Not sure what those discounts are though so would be interesting to find out. :)

Apparently the discounts are VAA tht have been passed on to VH.

Yeah that's what Customer Services explained to me.. I have heard that mid-afternoon a decision was made to say NO to all further refund enquiries. They must have been inundated this morning. Not sure how they think they will get away with that when they have allowed some customers to amend to the new prices.

We got a refund for my parents and carer on their economy flight but they said no to uc even though if i price it up on line it comes out £300 cheaper. They have also took manage booking of thier web page at the moment saying they have technical problems. Yeah right.
