I gonna get annihilated here.... I thought his voice was ok, nothing outstanding. Yes it is a very awful story but I still don't think his voice was exceptional... sorry guys.
Now that 17 year old girl was something else... the Whitney Houston lookalike/soundalike... she's SEVENTEEN!
Yeah I wasn't expecting to hear that voice come out of her. Amazing!

I have just watched the repeat of the X factor. I was in tears what a sad story, his baby girl was so cute. Cheryl and Dannii were in tears as well.
The 17 year old girl had a fantastic voice, she sounded very much like Whitney Houston. :p015:

i'm undecided about that woman who's children have been taken into care because she was in prison for drugs offences. On one hand do i want this person to be a role model to my daughter but on the other i think she should be given a chance to turn it around.

GO RUTH!!! *louder than Josh*
Wendy
27-10-2008, 11:02 AM
Ruth is OK, but she's not my favourite. I think Alexandra, Austin and Laura or Diana will be the final 3.
Daniel should have gone home, wrong result - he used the emotional card to stay in.
So once Daniel goes this week, how on earth are they going to decide between the people that are left  they are all so good this year

Well Rachel sang completely out of tune and total rubbish. Daniel was his normal karaoke self. Eggnog was ok but nothing special. JLS were good as usual. Laura was not as good as normal but still good. Ruth up to her usual standard. Alexandra bought the house down.
Laura and Ruth totally nailed their songs in the sing-off. It was very sad to watch them have to go through it. :(

I think it was the press revealing all about Laura that might not have helped her  not just her relationship but the success she has already had as an artist. The public are so fickle at times, they fall for Daniel's sob story but dislike Laura because she's already had a crack at it

I can't see how they can let her come back  If they were to allow her to come back they would have to find a way of refunding everyone's money who voted last Saturday - it's just not going to happen.
She seems to be doing OK anyway, her own songs are supposed to be no 1 and 2 in the downloads chart and she's been offered contracts with different recording companies.

Louis Walsh was on 8 out of 10 cats last night and he stands by his decision!
And I stand by him standing by his decision. He saved Ruth. :D

As much as I'd love her to come back, I wouldn't like her to at the same time. Not fair one Everyone else!
They can't let her come back. She had one of the lowest 2 vote counts last week and the judges decided to let her go. Where's the problem? Not enough people voted for her - this happens every year - someone goes and everyone screams not fair but how many of them actually picked up their phone and voted for that person.
Dawn (still voting for Ruth)

 I couldn't agree more, same old story, "oh so and so is brilliant, they will get loads of votes, not point in me voting"
I really hope they see sense tonight and Daniel is in the bottom 2 and goes - it should have happened weeks ago :rolleyes008:

I actually thought Dan and Ruth were the bottom two last week so in my opinion, Ruth should have gone.

I like the idea of Diana sing never ever... is that the all saints song?
Wendy
15-11-2008, 04:05 PM
I think so Josh - personally I think they should have got her to sing a Mariah song to shut up all those people that said she was faking the throat infection  It wouldn't be the first time she sang something different, Blondie wasn't exactly disco  It would have proved a point and silenced her critics.

Look at her, dancing like that! It just doesn't go with the song! She needs to learn that its not all about 'getting the crowd going' and sometimes, not bobbing your head looks better!
She's so frustrating and cocky.. it's a shame cos I like her MUSIC but not her, and it makes me not want to like her music :(
