Well now is the time for Pookie update #2. You guys are really going to be sick of this by the time this baby is born  Anyway I have lost weight, which the Doctor is comfortable with...and so am I! I am 10 weeks and 1 day and my new due date is April 9th. I never really get hooked on a day this early because it changes so often. :rolleyes008: Everything is looking really good (I had a ton of blood work done last time) and all my tests were normal. Pookie has an awesome heartbeat and things are going really well. Milk seems to be making me a little yucky if I drink as much as I should, but she said that milk wasn't as important as water, so just back off a bit with the milk. So I guess that is it for the update and now onto the fun stuff!!

We were pretty shocked at the pictures. I don't think we ever got one that clear of Katelyn until she was much much older. I like this new doctor

Ok well then I will keep you all posted on little Pookie's progress :p015: We are so excited. I cried when the picture came up and the woman doing the scan asked if we had thought something was wrong. I said no..that it was just an emotional moment. I guess no one gets excited about seeing their baby these days  It all feels very real now..

13-09-2008, 01:00 AM
Well I don't blame you a bit for having tears! It is an emotional moment, seeing your child for the very first time.

Do you do the singing and talking to your baby? A friend of mine rubbed her belly and sang the ABC song to her baby "all the time." When he was born, he was comforted by that song, and learned to read by three. Coincidence? Perhaps, but surely a good reason to communicate to the little one.

Awwww....how sweet!!! Shelly, enjoy every minute of it!! It all goes by way too fast..

13-09-2008, 01:24 AM
yes, it does.

I was just shopping for a dress for my child's senior pictures. She looked like a grown woman!

13-09-2008, 02:01 AM
Yes, I sing all the time anyway, but I do have special songs I sing to the little ones

With Katelyn I sang Baby Mine, Pooh Corner, and Little black rain cloud. She still loves those songs to this day.

13-09-2008, 02:15 AM
That is just so sweet Shellyamc. Will you sing the same ones to Pookie, or will you sing new songs?

13-09-2008, 08:49 AM
Shelly.....can I just say that I think you're a great Mom :hug2:

I'm not sure really. I guess whatever comes out.

Shelly.....can I just say that I think you're a great Mom :hug2:

That is one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me :hug2:

13-09-2008, 11:07 AM
Shellyamc, does Katelyn know about the baby yet? I know she's just a wee sprite herself, but I'm betting she can understand that there is going to be a baby one day!
